For the last bout of season 2 the Slaughter County Roller Vixens moved to the Kitsap Sun Pavilion to host a Wizard Of Oz themed double-header filled with skaters, and bruises, and beer, oh my! The SCRV skaters split up into two teams - the SCRV All-Stars and the Dorothys (SCRV event team) to take on 7+7 (an unholy alliance between Oregon skaters and the Rat City Rollergirls) and the SheWolves (a team from the Lilac City Roller Girls out of Spokane). |

First up was the Dorothys vs the SheWolves. The girls from Spokane are serious about their roller derby and they let everyone know it as they quickly threw points up on the board.

Follow the yellow brick road! |

| As both teams battled it out on the flat track the time in the first period began to wind down. Although the Dorothys had regrouped the SheWolves still held a commanding lead over the local girls. |

Welcome to Oz! |

As the skaters took the track for the second half the crowd was treated to another period of derby action. The flat track heated up as the two teams fought for control of the bout.
Jammer Time! |
| With the clock winding down it was obvious that the SheWolves weren't going to be knocked out of the lead position. Even with the score as it was the Dorothys kept delivering some fantastic slams and jams. In the end though the girls from Spokane skated away with the victory. |

Whip it good! |
With one bout down the audience had time for a quick breather and then it was time for even more derby action! |
| The second bout of the night featured Slaughter County's All-Stars vs the Oregon and Rat City event team 7+7. | ||
The SCRV All-Stars entered the track with a vengeance and they leapt off the line as the first whistle blew. As the two teams clashed it was assured that things were only going to get more action-packed as the bout went on.
Score! |
| Throughout the first half the local girls kept up a brutal pace and the score reflected it. As 7+7 struggled to keep up the action on the flat track intensified all the way until the period clock ran out. |

The SCRV All-Stars continued their pace as the second half began. Without even losing a beat they continued to dominate the bout. 7+7 wasn't going to call it quits yet though. The girls from Oregon and Seattle made a concentrated effort to topple the All-Stars and the bout only became more thrilling.
There's always a way around! |
| Even with the concentrated effort of the visiting girls it wasn't enough to topple the All-Stars. As the last jam of the bout was skated out the SCRV All-Stars were victorious over 7+7. |

"Yay!" - SCRV All-Stars |

The Slaughter County Roller Vixens send their derby love to the SheWolves and 7+7 who were willing to travel all over the Pacific Northwest to make the journey into Kitsap County and battle it out with the local girls. Of course we would like to thank all of the fans and volunteers from both sides. A special thank you goes out to the Kitsap Sun Pavilion for allowing us to bout there. We're hoping to do it all again next season! |
