On Saturday Bremerton Skateland was transformed into a haven for the undead as the hometown ghouls - the Death Rattle Rollers took on the visiting Seattle team - Grave Danger. |

Summoning an undead derby team to a roller rink is hard enough but trying to get two together at the same time takes huge amounts of necromancy, witchcraft, and a case of beer. Once on the track these two teams immediately clashed and the Battle of the Boneyard had truly begun!
|
Welcome to the boneyard! |

| The girls from Seattle are serious about their derby and they proved it early on as Grave Danger put the score in their favor. With some fantastic hits and amazing jams the first period of the bout saw them with a solid lead. |

When two pivots clash the results are bound to be good! |

The Death Rattle Rollers have never let a thing like being behind at the half get them down and this night was no exception. With the pack finally settling into their groove they were able to take advantage of the few opportunities Grave Danger left open and capitalize on them.
|
Attempts to block Speedy Gun Haul-Ass have been attempted but it's yet to be proven possible. |

|
Even with the Death Rattle
Rollers pulling together all of their derby might they just couldn't
topple Grave Danger. In the end the hellish skaters from across
the Sound held onto their lead to win the day...or night. Final Score: Grave Danger - 156 Death Rattle Rollers - 90 |

The Slaughter County Roller Vixens send their derby love to Grave Danger who ventured across the briny deep into Kitsap county to do battle on the flat track. We also want to thank the Kitsap Derby Brats and the Junior Gems (all the way from Eugene Oregon!) for giving us a thrilling look at the future of derby with their bout. Of course we would like to thank all of the fans and volunteers from both sides. As always we look forward to doing it all again! |
