If anyone was looking for some high octane action on Saturday night Bremerton Skateland was where to find it. For the Slaughter County Roller Vixens fourth bout of the season they decided to host two fantastic teams - the Atomic City Rollergirls all the way from the Tri-Cities, and the Trampires from the Dockyard Derby Dames league in Tacoma. |

First up was the Death Rattle Rollers vs the Atomic City Rollergirls. Although the Death Rattle Rollers were able to draw first blood by throwing up some points quickly the Atomic City Rollergirls got into their groove and answered right back.
Make way, coming through! |
Although the local girls
maintained their lead through out the first period the girls from the
tri-cities weren't about to let them get too comfortable. As the
two teams battled through their first half of play it was obvious that
the action during the second half was only going to intensify. As
the clock reached the half-time mark the score was as follows: Death Rattle Rollers - 66 Atomic City Rollergirls - 46 |

The two teams used their halftime breaks to reload their derby hexes and radioactive material and when they hit the flat track the action started up all over again. As both teams continued to batter each other the points seemed to rocket up onto the board.
There's no bruise quite like a Death Rattle Roller bruise! |
With the track full of
flying skaters and body parts it was still anyone's game as the bout
drew to a close. As the clock reached zero and the final score was
tallied it was apparent that the Death Rattle Rollers had managed to
fend off the visiting team though. Final Score: Death Rattle Rollers - 128 Atomic City Rollergirls - 107 |

That was only the first part of the night's entertainment though! With another bout to go the audience got to witness yet another awesome bout! |
| The second bout of the night featured Slaughter County's own Terrormedixx vs the Trampires. | ||
From the first whistle on this one had all the makings of a classic slugfest. With the scale going from 'Intense' to 'Insane' in less than 30 seconds it was apparent that the audience was definitely in for a treat.
Making scoring points look easy! |
The girls from Tacoma made
it clear that they didn't just show up for the after party as they got
some serious point up on the board. As always though the
Terrormedixxx are the last team to count out after just one period and
as the clock wound down on the first half of play they could be seen
already planning their second period mischief. The score at the
half: Terrormedixxx - 39 Trampires - 69 |

Brandifurious - always happy to escort a jammer out of bounds |
With another 30 minutes to bout the Terrormedixxx and Trampires obviously decided that the destruction hadn't quite been enough for them. Both teams raised the intensity level and weren't shy about letting the opposing team know how they felt.
Back with a vengeance! |
Even though the snow began
to fall outside the track was burning up as the skaters clashed.
With the penalty box becoming a common resting spot for the skaters it
was clear that they weren't about to hold anything back for the end of
the bout. In true Terrormedixxx style the local team saw an
opening and seized their opportunity to bring the score back in their
favor. During the last jam it was still anyone's bout. In
the end the local girls pulled off the win as the final score was
displayed: Terrormedixxx - 126 Trampires - 117 |

Lead Jammer - exactly as cool as it sounds |

The Slaughter County Roller Vixens send their derby love to the Atomic City Rollergirls and the Trampires who ventured into Kitsap county to do battle on the flat track. Of course we would like to thank all of the fans and volunteers from both sides. What an amazing bout! We're looking forward to doing it all again real soon. |
