Puget Sound Rumble

Last Weekend the Saughter County Roller Vixens invited the Rat City Roller Girls over to do battle across the Puget Sound. The Teams competing were the Terrormedixxx vs the Throttle Rockets and the Death Rattle Rollers vs the Sockit Wenches.

	First up was the Terrormedixxx and the Throttle Rockets. The Throttle Rockets wasted no time getting points up on the board and laying some solid hits on the local girls. After the first few jams though the Terrormedixxx settled into their groove and managed to get their jammers through as well.
No one passes me on the outside!
Both teams made some spectacular plays and jammers from both sides kept pushing their ways through the pack. As the first period wound down the Throttle Rockets held onto an impressive lead.
		Friends helping friends...kick ass!
	After the half the Terrormedixxx displayed the never give up attitude that Slaughter County is famous for. Battling the scorching heat as well as the Throttle Rockets they kept delivering derby action with the same intensity as always.
No parking on the freeway!
As the final seconds of the bout ticked away the two teams remained locked in derby combat, but in the end the Terrormedixx just couldn't knock the Throttle Rockets from their lead. With a final score of Throttle Rockets - 156 to Terrormedixxx - 51 there was nothing left to do but trade derby hugs and kisses as they cleared the way for the rest of the evening's action.
		The Pain Train's coming!
After the first bout there was time for a quick breather and then it was on to more excitement as the Death Rattle Rollers took on Rat City's Sockit Wenches.


The second bout of the night was Slaughter County's Death Rattle Rollers vs Rat City's Sockit Wenches
	Soon after the first whistle blew the audience knew they were in for some amazing derby action. The two teams battled it out on the flat track as if their lives depended on it, and neither one was about to let up.
Whip it good!
Even though the heat in the rink was at the boiling point the skaters kept burning up the track. Each jam offered it's own assortment of outstanding plays and spills for the crowd to enjoy.
		You take the high road and I'll take the low!
	As the second period started the Sockit Wenches really turned up the heat and used their experience to their advantage. Down but not out, the Death Rattle Rollers answered back with some fancy footwork and tough skating to show the team from across the water that the local girls are serious about their derby!
Pack Attack!
With the end of the bout near it became obvious that the venerable Sockit Wenches would take the victory, but nothing can stop the Death Rattle Rollers from having fun out on the flat track! As they skated the final jams blowing kisses to the crowd they ended their awesome first season with a bang. As the final score was displayed, Sockit Wenches - 154 to Death Rattle Rollers - 59 the two teams skated victoriously hand in hand with smiles and hugs for each other.
		Derby Sisters!
The Slaughter County Roller Vixens send out great big hugs and kisses to all of the Rat City Roller Girls who came out to bout or just watch, and of course to all the fans from both sides. It's been a great first season and we can't wait to do it all again soon! ...well, after some of the bruises heal anyways!
